FIELD: construction industry, in particular, production of tiles from mineral fibers. SUBSTANCE: method involves producing first nonwoven fabric from mineral fibers, comprising mineral filaments running in first longitudinal direction, and segments of first fabric made from mineral fibers and positioned in partially overlapped relation for producing second nonwoven fabric from mineral fibers comprising mineral filaments positioned at skew angle one with respect to the other. Second fabric of mineral fibers is folded at skew angle for producing third nonwoven fabric of mineral fibers. Method further involves hardening third nonwoven fabric; cutting piece from third nonwoven fabric for obtaining tile or tubular insulating member made from mineral fibers. Volume of tile made from mineral fibers in package may be reduced by 40-60%. EFFECT: improved strength and heat-insulating properties of products manufactured from mineral fibers and reduced usage of mineral fibers. 75 cl, 27 dwg, 5 tbl
