FIELD: study of light propagation in atmosphere. SUBSTANCE: device includes optical system to form image of object, band-pass optical filter, photodetector, motor with kinematic unit and meter measuring difference of duration of signals mounted in sequence on optical axis. Kinematic unit is linked to shafts. Two closed ring tapes are put on shafts in front of photodetector and are inserted one into another mutually perpendicular. Tapes have slits , opaque and clear sections. Slits of one tape are matched with clear sections of another tape within bounds of translation over receiving surface of photodetector. EFFECT: reduced dimensions of device and its enhanced precision in recording of atmospheric dispersion. 1 cl, 3 dwg
