METHOD FOR MODELING HEREDITARY VERTEBRAL COLUMN DEFORMATION Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

Abstract RU 2152644 C1

FIELD: medical genetics, orthopedics, research for etiology of pathogenesis of Scheuermann decease, prenatal prognosis of decease occurrence by child and development of prophylactics program by means of genetic consultation. SUBSTANCE: model of hereditary kyphosis deformation, which is optimally similar to human clinical manifestation, is achieved by selection of undulated mice line species with genetic defect in second chromosome between Beta-2-microglobelin and the agouti locus and Au+ line species with local genetic defect in agouti gene area. Inbreeding is continued by fifth generation. EFFECT: vertebral column deformation model, which corresponds to etiology of decease in humans with carbohydrate metabolism deficiencies. 3 dwg
