FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out corpectomy and excising both vertebral arch roots in apical vertebrae in the spinal cord compression zone and zone of direct contact of dural tunic and spinal cord canal wall, removing posterior medial half of cranial and caudal bodies of the vertebrae with retained anterior epidural space. Radical deformity correction is performed by means of endocorrector unit in single treatment or in step-by-step mode using the principle of shortening posterior vertebral regions and elongating the anterior ones to equalize spinal cord canal length on the concave and convex portion of the deformity. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in treating severe complications due to vertebral column deformities. 4 dwg
