FIELD: poultry farming, in particular, formation of hatching egg flocks. SUBSTANCE: method involves counting and registering individual egg-laying capacity of hens for 15 days of hatching season until occurrence of first series of at least three eggs, with egg laying time being taken into account. Method allows directed selection of hens to be effectuated for forming hatching egg flocks and selection works to be further conducted.
