SUBSTANCE: 112-113 days old birds are placed in individual cages and held there up to 160 days. Then, for the next 5 days, egg weight is recorded daily. Hens, which demonstrate egg weight gain by 1-5 gramms, are selected.
EFFECT: provides for selection of the most productive hens.
