FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to poultry, namely the selection of chickens. Chickens are kept in individual battery cells from the age of 120 days. Accounting for individual egg production and selection of chickens by weight of eggs is carried out at the age of 52 weeks. Chickens are selected for an average mass of the first 3–5 consecutively laid eggs at the age of 20 weeks. Accounting for the rank correlation of chickens on the mass of eggs laid is carried out. If a bird has a high rank for these indicators from 20 to 52 weeks, then it is considered to be highly productive.
EFFECT: improved prediction accuracy is provided.
