FIELD: mechanical engineering; welding. SUBSTANCE: electrode can be use for arc and electroslag welding and surfacing as stick electrodes for hand processes and in form of long-cut lengths for mechanized processes. Electrode has metal shell accommodating two metal cores and mixture. Electrode shell is made in form of flat space with overlaps in upper part. Both cores are in contact with shell. Center-to-center distance of cores is equal to 2-4 diameters of core. Shell mixture fill factor is calculated depending on width and thickness of electrode and thickness of shell. EFFECT: increased capacity at surfacing and welding improved uniformity of melting, reduced hydration of mixture. 2 tbl, 1 ex, 3 dwg
