FIELD: manufacture of pipes. SUBSTANCE: method relates to technology of hardening oil assortment pipes directly in line of pipe-rolling plant. Round billets upon leaving the rolling mill have temperature of 930-950 C. Pipes with this temperature are cooled in two states: at cooling rate of 60-85 C/s up to temperature of 690-720 C and at cooling rate of 3-10 C/s up to temperature of 580-680 C. Then pipes are heated to temperature Ac3 ± 30 C and finally deformed in sinking mill with subsequent cooling in the air. The method application results in improved pipe strength and ductile properties. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 tbl
