SUBSTANCE: method involves placing pile of fibers to be analyzed into pen of constant sizes and weight which is less than that of pile of flax fibers; measuring distance between center of gravity of bent pile of flax fibers in pen and bent pile edge; calculating pile length, with mentioned distance being taken into account.
