FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has power contacts, auxiliary contacts, insulating nozzle, cylindrical insulating bushing, fixed piston, and self-excited vibration cavity. L-shaped cylindrical insulating bushing functions to confine self-excited vibration cavity in upflow space by means of its internal end and self-excited vibration chamber formed in insulating nozzle body and communicating with compression chamber through duct, by means of its external surface. Duct is formed by inner cylindrical surface of insulating nozzle and inner surface of L-shaped cylindrical insulating bushing whose inner surface and outer surface of movable auxiliary contact form additional self-blow chamber. Device incorporates provision for optimal combination of self-compression and more bulky self-excited vibration system, reduction of the impact of disconnecting arc on end surface of movable auxiliary contact, and for choice of optimal parameters.
