METHOD OF POLYVALENT PYOBACTERIOPHAGE PREPARING Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: biotechnology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of medicinal biological preparations. Method involves culturing bacteria and bacteriophages Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Proteus, Klebsiella, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa in liquid nutrient medium. Each species of bacterium and bacteriophage is cultured separately. Culturing is carried out under condition of intensive aeration and stirring at 30-70% of saturation of cultural medium with dissolved oxygen and using exponentially multiplied bacterial population. Obtained phagolysates of all bacteriophages are combined, stirred and subjected for micro- and ultrafiltration in regime of tangential flow through membranes (pore size is 0.2-0.8 mcm and threshold value of substance retention is 150-200 kDa) followed by final sterilizing microfiltration. Purification degree of bacteriophages from metabolites of bacteria and proteins is 98 ± 1.5%. EFFECT: broadened spectrum of antibacterial activity of preparation. 2 tbl, 2 ex
