FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: method may be used for recovery of serviceability of power plant steam generators by chemical procedures. The method includes successive three-stage treatment of operating surface of steam generator steam-and water cavity with water solutions being agitated. At the first stage of treatment ammonium solution of ammonium acetate of 10-30 g/l concentration is used. At the second stage, solution of ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid of 15-40 g/l concentration and hydrazine of concentration not exceeding 5 g/l is used. At the third stage, ammonium solution of ammonium acetate of 10-15 g/l concentration is used. EFFECT: extended service life of steam generator. 7 cl, 3 tbl
