FIELD: power industry.

SUBSTANCE: operating method of steam generator of sodium-water type of nuclear power plant involves pumping of water and sodium-containing heat carriers via closed circuits, and supply of chemicals to water heat carrier. Volatile matters - oxidiser and alkali - are used as chemicals. During the steam generator start-up, concentration of oxidiser and alkali is increased to 0.5-1.0 mg of oxidiser/kg and 2-3 mg of alkali/kg, and during its operation on nominal power, the concentration of volatile oxidiser and alkali is decreased to the specified level. As volatile oxidiser, gaseous oxygen, hydrogen peroxide or gaseous nitrogen oxide is used, and ammonia is used as alkali. When the steam generator is switched over to nominal power, concentration of oxidiser and alkali in water heat carrier is reduced to 0.1 mg of oxidiser/kg and 0.05-0.08 mg of alkali/kg. Gaseous nitrogen oxide is used when pH value is being decreased below a neutral value.

EFFECT: invention allows improving operating reliability of sodium-water steam generator.
