FIELD: thermal and nuclear power engineering; reconditioning steam generators and other thermal equipment by chemical rinsing. SUBSTANCE: method for rinsing working surfaces of steam-water space in steam generator of NPS using water-cooled reactor includes supply of doped chelate to steam generator in the course of reactor unit cooling down and rinsing of heat- transfer surfaces at preset temperatures and pH of solution; during first rinsing stage use is made of solution having in its composition ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid and acetic-acid ammonium salt, their proportion by weight of components being 1:0.65, respectively; during second rinsing stage use is made of solution incorporating ammonium cation of minimum 2 g-ion/kg concentration that functions as additive and is stabilized in solution by anion of weak organic acid with hydrogen peroxide concentration of minimum 1 g/kg. EFFECT: enhanced rinsing efficiency which extends service life of steam generator. 4 cl, 5 tbl
