FIELD: agriculture, in particular, postharvest treatment of grain. SUBSTANCE: method involves treating grain with propionic acid containing 0.01-0.1 wt.% of jasmonic acid and/or its lowest acrylic ethers till formation of film on surface of each corn seed; solving chitosan in propionic acid prior to treating with it, with amount of chitosan being equal to 0.01-0.2 wt. %. Adding of chitosan and jasmonic acid and/or their lowest acrylic ethers into propionic acid prolongs immunostimulating action of mixture. Method is used for treating grain prior to laying for prolonged storage. EFFECT: increased efficiency and prolonged storage life of treated grain.
