FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method of postharvest treatment of grain prior to laying for storage involves providing grain flow in the form of falling rain; performing separate ultrasonic spraying of water and propionic acid and simultaneously applying static electric charges of opposite potentials so as to produce aerosol flow; providing contacting of grain with aerosol in countercurrency. Prior to spraying, chitosan is solved in propionic acid. Joint action of propionic acid, heat of exothermic effect of solvation of propionic acid in water, electrostatic charges and ultrasonics provide grain sterilization. EFFECT: reliable and prolonged storage of grain.
