SUBSTANCE: device has power supply 1, capacitor 2 and diode 2 parallel-connected to it, first choke 5 and first gate 7, as well as master oscillator 13, electrodes 16,17 for connection of the patient, introduced are the second (8), third (9), fourth (10) gates, reference voltage source 11, AND circuit 12, master element 4, second choke 6, resistor 14. In case the patient's electrical resistance is beyond the allowable limit for defibrillation, or in case of a fault in the circuits of the electrodes an inhibit signal is supplied from the output of comparator 15 to master element 4, whose outputs do not receive enabling signals for gates 7,8,9,10, a defibrillation pulse is not applied to electrodes 16, 17. EFFECT: enhanced safety due to blocking of discharge in case the patient's electrical resistance is beyond the allowable limit for defibrillation, enhanced efficiency of therapeutic effect due to shaping of a bipolar pulse. 5 dwg
