FIELD: industrial inorganic synthesis. SUBSTANCE: electrolysis of sodium chloride is carried out first in chlorine diaphragm electrolyzers. Resulting alkali chloride solution is brought into contact with electrolytic gaseous chlorine to form chloride-chlorate solution. The latter is mixed with crystallization mother solution for using resulting mixture in diaphragmless electrolysis followed by evaporation of chloride-chlorate solution and crystallization of sodium chlorate. Diaphragm electrolysis products can be partly withdrawn to form hydrochloric acid from gaseous chlorine for acidifying chlorate electrolysis and using alkali chloride solutions for irrigation of sanitary columns. EFFECT: reduced power consumption and enabled autonomous production. 2 cl
