FIELD: chemical industry; methods of concentration of alkali solutions. SUBSTANCE: alkali solution includes chloride and sodium hydroxide which are obtained in the course of diaphragm electrolysis of saturated sodium chloride solutions. Still bottoms of anhydrous ethylene chlorohydrin are added to starting alkali solutions; still bottoms are just technical mixture of varying composition of anhydrous chlorohydrins of mono-, di- and triethylene glycol. Then, alkali solution with additives are subjected to evaporation. Anhydrous ethylene glycol added to alkali solution reduced consumption of heat of heating stem at simultaneous acceleration of water evaporation process. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 2 cl, 1 tbl, 5 ex
