FIELD: chemical industry; methods of concentration of alkali solutions obtained at electrolysis of sodium chloride solution by diaphragm method. SUBSTANCE: alkali solution is delivered for evaporation. Mixture of organic components of ethylene glycol and propylene glycol are added to starting alkali solution at mass ratio of 1 : in the amount of 0.10-0.15 g per cu dm of starting alkali solutions. Additives of organic components reduce consumption of heat of heating steam, facilitate evaporation process and reduced degree of salting of heating surfaces due to change in heat transfer conditions. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 2 cl, 1 tbl, 5 ex
