FIELD: machine engineering, possibly power transmissions of heavy load machines with preliminary turning of shafts. SUBSTANCE: coupling has two bosses with semicouplings mounted on shafts. Semicouplings are joined one with another. Each semicoupling is provided with two levers extending from it in opposite directions. One lever has cantilever secured normally to it. Screw stop having semispherical tip engaging with lever of other semicoupling is mounted in cantilever by means of threaded joint. Pivots of stops are arranged at different sides of boss mutually in parallel and opposite one relative to another with possibility of increasing operational radius of levers as stops are screwed on. Coupling has protective casing that may be in the form of two halves with П-shaped cross section overlapping one onto another along generatrix and resting upon levers. Said halves may have in central zone openings embracing bosses and they may be fixed with the aid of rings arranged in concave and convex portions of halves. Bosses may be fixed to shafts by means of pins. Half of cross section of pin may pass through semicircular turning of shaft. EFFECT: enlarged functional possibilities of coupling due to preliminary turning of shafts. 3 cl, 2 dwg
