METHOD FOR COMPUTER-AIDED MODELLING OF CLOTHES Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: light industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves working out basic construction of clothes having combination of basic assembly pieces of clothes; applying constructional and decorating members onto basic construction; constructing arrangement of clothe parts patterns. Joining of constructional and decorating members to basic construction requires changing of patterns of certain of main assembly pieces. In the process of applying constructional and decorating members onto basic construction, these patterns are corrected by changing coordinates of pattern basic points of respective parts of main assembly pieces, with formal rules in computer data base being used in this case. Formal rules are presented in the form of tables of dependances, such as bki=fi(bo), where bki is coordinate of basic point of corrected patterns corresponding to i-construction of constructional and decorating member; bo is coordinate of related basic point of patterns of part of main assembly piece of basic construction. Each i-construction of constructional and decorative member is chosen on the base of statistic analysis for 2-3 years of multiplicity of models of clothes available an the enterprise, provided each model is repeated at least 3 times.
