FIELD: catalysts for organic reactions. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to preparing catalysts based on transition metal and phosphine, in particular those including at least one transition metal with oxidation degree 0 or 1 associated with at least one sulfurized phosphine. Method consists in electrolysis of aqueous solution containing at least one transition metal compound selected from compounds of nickel, cobalt, iron, palladium, platinum, rhodium, and iridium and one sulfurized phosphine placed in cathodic compartment of electrolyzer cell. Compounds thus obtained can be used as catalysts in reaction of hydrocyanation of ethylenically unsaturated compounds. EFFECT: improved preparation procedure. 21 cl, 5 tbl, 7 ex
