FIELD: mechanical engineering; automotive and tractor industry. SUBSTANCE: proposed internal combustion engine with toroidal chamber is a four-stroke carburettorless engine operating on light liquid fuel with spark ignition and liquid cooling and employing four toroidal chambers accommodating, each, two hollow pistons. Sliding bearings fitted on operating shaft are coupled with shaft by rings fitted on shaft and spline connected with shaft. Two stops are found in each toroidal chamber. Pusher is installed in shaft space. Use of toroidal chambers increases time of piston working stroke. EFFECT: increased economy and reduced smoking. 2 cl, 20 dwg
