FIELD: transport mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: automobile differential has half-axles with bevel gears coupled by bevel pinions. One of half-axles with bevel gear has axial development in the form of cylinder encircled by closed recess of elliptic form and semicircular section. Other half-axle with bevel gear has axial development in the form of sleeve enveloping cylinder. Sleeve is provided with internal recesses of semicircular section over generatrices. Every internal recess of sleeve is coupled with closed recess of cylinder through ball. EFFECT: improved automobile or tractor cross-country capability. 1 dwg
