FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: two-position distributor is designed to supply liquid over one of two branched pipelines. It is used to supply liquid contaminated with suspended solid particles, mill scale, sand and coal dust. Two-position distributor has a cylindrical body closed by end-face covers, central inlet and side distributing branch pipes, moving rod with valves and valve seats provided with flat contact surfaces. They are secured in internal partitions of body between which cylindrical insert is installed. Partitions are arranged on both sides of central inlet branch pipe. Valves are secured on rod perpendicularly to its axis. They are made as two discs, external and internal ones set on rod. Sealing rings interacting with seats with their flat surfaces are positioned between discs. Hollow cylindrical trunnions carried by plain bearings mounted in covers of body are fixed on external discs like on bases coaxially with rod. Diameter of external discs is larger than external diameter of cylindrical trunnions. Two-position distributor may be used in systems intended for transportation of large amount of water.
