FIELD: wide-strip hot rolling mills, in particular, water systems for rolling mill. SUBSTANCE: "contaminated" turnover cycle apparatus has pumping plant for supplying cooled pure water, collector and branch pipes connected to collector and adapted for supplying water for cooling of roller conveyors, step-up pumping plant for supplying water to finishing stands, pan positioned under rolling mill, pumping plant for pumping out contaminated water, horizontal and radial settlers, graduating towers, and filter plant. Water discharge pipe for delivery of water to cool the equipment of finishing stands is branched into two parallel branches at point positioned downstream of step-up pumping plant. Two-position distributing valves are mounted on two parallel branches and connected one with the other via two pipelines. One pipeline is adapted for supplying cooling water to finishing stands and other pipeline bypasses finishing stands and extends to pan positioned under rolling mill. Cutoff valves are mounted on parallel branches upstream of distributing valves and downstream of these valves on pipelines. EFFECT: improved quality of rolled strips, reduced wear of rolls, improved ecology in working shops, enhanced reliability in operation of water system "contaminated" turnover cycle. 2 cl, 4 dwg
