SUBSTANCE: the sealing device is installed in the breech end of the artillery gun barrel and has a breechblock wedge, base ring with two concentric ring flanges on its end forming an annular groove receiving an L-shaped sealing ring. The base ring is made up of two parts fixed relative to each other. One part forms the internal ring flange, is made in the form of a split bush and installed in the second part of the base ring.
