FIELD: structural elements of artillery guns, breech block mechanisms. SUBSTANCE: breech block includes rotary frame, obturator pad with unit of its pressing against frame in the form of disc, centering plate with duct where firing pin with groove is placed. Mechanism of firing pin return is installed in radial hole of frame. In presented variant mechanism of firing pin return comes in the form of body, bonom loaded with spring resting against cover and output link-cam mounted on axle for interaction with bonom and wall of groove of firing pin. EFFECT: improved functional conditions and increased operational reliability of breech block thanks to provision for cleaning and lubrication of firing pin without disassembly and assembly of firing pin return mechanism and enlarged volume of obturator pad with specified dimensions of breech block. 1 cl, 1 dwg
