BREECH BLOCK OF ARTILLERY GUN OF CASE-FREE LOADING Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: structural elements of artillery guns, breech block mechanisms. SUBSTANCE: breech block has rotary frame, centering plate with duct where firing pin is installed, seat for firing pin, obturator pad with units of its pressing against frame and pressure multiplication. Centering plate comes in the form of hollow bar placed with one end in bore of frame with radial clearance by means of spherical support (butt and washer) and seat for firing pin is made in duct of plate on side of its second end which secures immobility of plate in axial direction with respect to frame to ensure stability of joint dimension of breech block with ammunition. Units of pressing of obturator pad against frame and pressure multiplication are produced in the form of pressure disc, pins arranged on face of pressure disc and spring-loaded with reference to frame and holes in obturator pad corresponding to pins. EFFECT: improved functional conditions and operational reliability of breech block thanks to secured stability of joint dimension of breech block and ammunition. 3 cl, 2 dwg
