FIELD: demilitarization of ammunition, applicable for salvaging of cassette ammunition. SUBSTANCE: the method for demilitarization of ammunition by elimination of possibility of accomplishment of the preset sequence of transformations of members of its construction for bringing it to the fighting position and capping the ignition ducts consists in making of holes in the ammunition body to the zone of internal cavities and introduction of compound hardening with time; simultaneously with introduction of hardening compound the content of the internal cavities, the introduced hardening compound inclusive, is sucked off at least through one hole. Then, after introduction of hardening compound into the ammunition internal cavities in the volume not less than the quantity of the ammunition internal cavities the compound is introduced through a system of holes that have been used before it for suction, and suction is accomplished through the system of holes that have been used before it for introduction of the compound; the hardening compound removed through the system of holes during suction is fed to the inlet to the system of holes for introduction inside the ammunition. EFFECT: enhanced fullness of filling of the ammunition internal cavities in the conditions of maximum economy of the filler material and minimum loads on the internal members of the ammunition construction. 2 cl, 3 dwg, 1 ex
