FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: ammunition is installed on lodgment, location of structural ammunition elements used for deactivation is determined as per interaction of inner ferromagnetic structural elements of ammunition tightly adjacent to inner surface of its housing made from non-ferromagnetic material with one and more magnetic or electromagnetic sensors by rotation of ammunition around its longitudinal axis, and ammunition is set to the specified position and fixed in lodgment.
EFFECT: improving ammunition orientation reliability relative to equipment and tools on each process operation with maintenance of necessary safety and reliability of ammunition deactivation process.
