FIELD: industry, in particular, electric power plants. SUBSTANCE: some parts (ai) of electric power plant are controlled automatically. Said method involves setting features (mi), which describe process running in equipment, and preparation of parameters (Pi), which are important for process running in equipment. Then, for each equipment part (ai), method involves checking presence of each feature (mi) using parameters (Pi) and using features (ai) shared for different equipment parts (mi) and different features (mi) for shared equipment parts (ai) in order to determine correlations between combinations of equipment parts (ai) and features (mi). Then, equipment parts (ai) and/or features (mi) are used as information elements (Ii(ai),Ii(mi)), which are displayed in such positions, so that distance (L, W) between two information elements (Ii(ai),Ii(mi)) represents degree of their correlation. EFFECT: possibility of immediate detection of specific features of process running in complex production equipment and timely response in reaction to them, in particular, in case of failures. 10 cl, 3 dwg
