FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves entering data into portable programming device for checking human organism energy state balance. The data describe physiological state of a particular user. The user enters data in on-line mode concerning consumed energy sources and energy losses. Output data describe current state of energy supply to organism as proposals for optimizing the state of energy supply to organism. The data are output as a series of emotionally expressive visual images describing dynamic changes of the value for a given time period. The device has information carrier storing information concerning influence of physiological state of a user, quality and quantity of consumed energy sources and lost energy upon the state of energy supply to organism. The device has data processing calculating unit for evaluating the current level of energy supply to organism, demonstration unit for making output of any required data and visual images representing energy supply index, dynamics of its changes during required time interval, control unit controlling operation of all units and the device as a whole, casing having control keys and display screen. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in monitoring energy supply to human organism; graphic presentation of results. 2 cl
