FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to methods and systems for monitoring person's intake of food. Handheld portable apparatus is adapted to manual control and is set to electronic processing of parameters, which influence sugar content in blood. Apparatus includes two central processors, one storage device, which contains a set of items of food products and values of, at least, one parameter, which influences sugar content in blood, for respective item of food product, including glycemic index and/or glycemic load and/or content of carbohydrates and/or pH value, input device, display for depicting items of food products, for selection and input by user and for depicting parameter, which influences sugar content in blood. First central processor is made for calculation of values, dealing with summed up glycemic indices and/or summed up glycemic loads for said items of food products, introduces by user, based on stored values of respective parameter for respective item of food product and its given amount. Device of apparatus connection is equipped and set for connection with remote database and for screening of objects of data, stored in database, for choosing selected users, who do not meet selected health criterion or recommendations, from the group of apparatus users. System includes multitude of apparatuses, its computer device being distant from apparatuses and set for screening objects of data, stored in database, for choosing selected users from the group of apparatus users. Method of system application consists in screening the group of users of multitude of apparatuses in order to ensure observation by provider of medical services over said group of users and choosing users who do not follow the recommendations by said provider of medical services. Connection with said selected users, who do not follow the recommendations, is performed via connection device.
EFFECT: application of invention makes it possible to improve control over patients' treatment by provider of medical services.
