METHOD OF PRODUCING MAZUT FROM LOW-SULFUR AND/OR SULFUR, AND/OR HIGH- SULFUR PETROLEUMS Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: petroleum processing. SUBSTANCE: crude oil is subjected to desalting and dehydration in electrical dehydrators and then to atmosphere-vacuum distillation wherefrom following intermediate products are withdrawn: straight-run gasoline, kerosene, and diesel, mazut, straw oil, lube oil fractions and tar oil. At least part of products are compounded with products from other installations. Heat carrier used in at least atmosphere-vacuum distillation process is water steam produced in steam generator by at least partly superheating of water by combustion of associated gas and/or process gas from thermal processes taking part in petroleum processing, and/or intermediate products. Gas is supplied into gas network at temperature 50-70 C and pressure 3-5 kg/sq.cm and, before combustion, gas is preheated to temperature not below 100 C. 60- 85% of gas is burned in process furnaces and 15-40% in steam generator. At last partly return condensate added to chemically purified water is used to generate steam. To preheat chemically purified water and/or original petroleum, residual heat of process spent steam and/or steam condensate, and/or tar oil withdrawn from column is utilized. EFFECT: improved flash temperature and viscosity of mazut because of removal of clear petroleum products, and simultaneously reduced power consumption. 19 cl, 1 tbl
