FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: process for manufacturing high-speed permanent-magnet machines as well as for assembling miscellaneous revolving structures includes manufacture of annular stack in advance; to this end, permanent magnets are placed between strengthening rings and hub. Inner surface of hub and mating surface of shaft are tapered. Then annular stack is press-fitted onto shaft while applying force lengthwise of shaft axis. Such procedure ensures desired interference fit in rotor manufacture without heating strengthening ring which, in its turn, provides for maximal utilization of magnetic and mechanical properties of materials used. Rotor manufactured in this way is distinguished by high mechanical strength at utmost speeds and, hence, electrical machines using such rotors are noted for high specific power output. EFFECT: facilitated procedure, improved mechanical strength of rotor. 3 cl, 1 dwg, 2 ex
