FIELD: medicine; medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has basic member having ring-shaped elongated molding chamber mounted on it. The chamber circumferentially envelopes the molding zone disposed mainly in the central area stretchable, when pumped, to the anterior side of the base. The chamber is produced from flexible, air-tight, relatively inextensible sheet material, embracing, when engaged with the base, some air reservoir circumferentially surrounding the molding area. The molding unit is usable in combination with an adhering prosthesis socket. Molded hardening material of the prosthesis socket or other material is placed above the adhering prosthesis socket and is molded under pressure by means of pumped chamber when the molding material hardens. When carrying out molding-under-pressure procedure, the stretching force created by pumped chamber pressure is applied to the distal end of the adhering socket for elongating and stretching the distal part of the remaining extremity on which the molding material is molded under pressure.
