FIELD: filtration accessories. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology of cleaning aqueous and steam-oil media from carbon black, abrasive particles, vaporized and gaseous chemical compounds and can be employed for environmental protection at industrial enterprises being sources of effluents and gas emissions into atmosphere. Filter material is made from viscose fiber involving thermochemical treatment followed by precipitation of silicon carbide and titanium carbide layers from gas phase onto each filament of carbon fiber with total layer thickness 100 to 500 nm. After such procedure, flexible textile structure of fiber is retained and material acquires thermal and chemical stability allowing use of material for high-temperature (up to 600 C) treatment of aqueous and steam-oil media directly without preliminary cooling. EFFECT: improved working characteristics.
