FIELD: production of materials with special physic properties, possibly manufacture of highly sensitive magnetic field detectors. SUBSTANCE: method for making wire with superhigh effect of magnetic impedance being bimetallic wire with surface layer of ferromagnetic material and inner core of non-magnetic material having high electric conductivity comprises steps of forming from above mentioned materials wire blank in the form of inner core and outer tubular envelope having predetermined ratio of diameters d bl/D bl; subjecting such blank to extrusion; drawing it until predetermined diameter D of bimetallic wire and heat treating of it at maintaining above mentioned relation of diameters of blank in ready bimetallic wire. Final thickness of surface layer of wire is equal to 1 micrometer.
