FIELD: chemistry of polymers. SUBSTANCE: described is new copolymer, namely copolymer of ethylene with comonomer selected from alpha-olefins of formula: CH2=CH-CH2R wherein R is hydrogen or linear alkyl having from 1 to 20 carbon atoms and containing from 80 to 99 mole % of ethylene units and from 1 to 20 mole % of units of said comonomer. During fractionation accomplished by temperature-raising elution, at least 90 wt % of copolymer elute within temperature range up to 50 C, and ratio of average molecular weight (Mw) to average numerical molecular weight (Mn) determined by gel penetrating chromatography method (Mw/Mn) is more than 3.
