SUBSTANCE: proposed egg tester can find use in commercial equipment to examine freshness of eggs by visual inspection against light source in process of selling to consumer. Egg tester has case made of cover and tray connected releasably. Cover carries cells coming in the form of depressions. Case houses light source in the form of filament lamps operating under D C mode, D C power supply unit, switch. Each filament lamp is installed under proper cell for examined eggs Case has inclined internal and external walls. Inclination angle of walls of cover and tray relative to vertical axis of case amounts to 4-7 degrees. Walls of cover and tray of case have stiffening ribs.
