FIELD: transillumination equipment. SUBSTANCE: ovoscope has casing 1 made of, for example, steel, cover 2 manufactured of any material resisting multiple cleaning procedures, in particular, sterilization and mounted on casing 1 by means of poles 3 in spaced relation to casing. Casing upper surface is formed as grid 4 made from rods. Oval-shaped openings 5 are made in cover 2 for receiving eggs to be checked. Rims 6 are running along long sides of cover 2 for preventing eggs from falling onto table. Detachable housing 7 is fixed in casing 1 under light beam source, such as halogen lamp. Light beam source is connected to power supply source through switch. Stationary contact socket or portable power supply may be used as power supply source. Ovoscope may be used for investigation or analysis of materials by determining their physical properties and is mainly used for checking eggs by transillumination method.
