FIELD: cigarette industry. SUBSTANCE: device for regulating moisture content in combustible carbonic component used for producing of smoking articles has carbonic combustible core containing some amount of moisture. Core is enclosed in paper. Device is further provided with member for receiving and accumulating combustible components and member joined to mentioned combustible receiving and accumulating member for blowing of mentioned combustible components with unheated air for reducing moisture content in cores and, as a result, for preventing swelling and decolorization of combustible by moisture contained in core. According to other version, device has mentioned members and is further provided with cutter positioned adjacent to accumulating member and adapted for cutting of combustible components. Moisture content in combustible cores, though reduced, is still high enough for preventing cores from cracking and crumbling during cutting. Method for regulating moisture content in carbonic combustible components is recited in Specification. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of smoking article. 26 cl, 18 dwg
