FIELD: waste disposal. SUBSTANCE: waste is subjected to catalytic thermal liquefaction at 220-360 C and pressure 1-3 MPa in hydrocarbon hydrogen-donor solvent in presence of initiator: free iodine and/or iodine-containing compounds taken in amounts 0.01 to 0.50 wt % of solvent followed by separation of liquid products and rectification thereof to yield desired products, said iodine-containing compounds being organic or inorganic in origin and selected from group including potassium, titanium, cobalt, or nickel iodides, tert-butyl iodide and other, or their mixtures. Solvent is alkylbenzene, alkylbenzene mixture, or alkylbenzene-containing hydrocarbon mixtures. Process is carried out at waste-to-solvent weight ratio 1:(2-4). EFFECT: simplified technology, increased yield of high-quality products, which can be used as motor fuel components chemical starting material. 4 cl, 1 tbl
