FIELD: metallurgy, more specifically, production of critical rolled products with prolonged service life. SUBSTANCE: method includes melting of steel of definite chemical composition in electric furnace, tapping of steel into ladle, metal treatment in ladle and pouring of steel into ingot molds. Alloying of steel with niobium is carried out in course of steel tapping from furnace into ladle by introduction of ferro-niobium in amount of 0.35-1.8 kg/t of steel. After casting, castings are subjected to rolling, cooling, isothermal holding, preliminary and final deformation. Process is complete by final cooling of stock to ambient temperature. EFFECT: higher cold and corrosion resistance of stock metal. 3 cl, 1 ex
