FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: overrunning clutch may be used in machine drives for transmission of one-way motion. Clutch has internal and external yokes and wedging bodies in form of flexible rods positioned between them. Some ends of rods are fixed in one of yokes, and other are arranged in contact with surface of other yoke and described by radius equal to radium of this yoke surface. Angle of slope of rod axes to normal, to yoke surface in plane perpendicular to clutch axis does not exceed friction angle. Internal yoke is made as cone, and external yoke is capable of axial displacement relative to cone and is pressed constantly to internal yoke by means of flexible element. As as result, wear of friction surfaces is compensated. EFFECT: extended service life. 4 cl, 1 dwg
