FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: engine has housing with ring chamber, piston with shaft executing vibratory movements in ring chamber and mechanism converting vibratory motion into rotation. Mechanism to equalize speed of vibratory motion, flexible coupling and vibratory motion variable speed drive are installed in tandem between piston and mechanism converting vibratory motion into rotation. Mechanism converting vibratory motion into rotation is made in form of three-link bevel gearing two gears of which are provided with overrunning clutches. Seals of pistons are made in form of blind holes. Built-in vibratory motion variable speed drive plays the part of gearbox and clutch. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 3 cl, 5 dwg
