FIELD: heating of and hot-water supply to public utilities. SUBSTANCE: method meant for augmenting mixing, dispersing, heating, and other processes involves raising abnormal heat generation due to hydrodynamic shock diffusion at meeting jets of cavitational liquid flowing at high speed out of coaxial opposing nozzles. In addition, provision is made for producing and enhancing growth of cavitational bubbles by establishing self-oscillation conditions for varying liquid pressure from gage pressure to low vacuum. Periodic pressure variations within liquid diffusion volume is afforded by its periodic drain from heat producer through siphon whose capacity is higher than pump delivery. Effect of erosion on nozzles due to cavitation is reduced due to turbulent flow of liquid and displacement of cavitational bubbles from near- wall to axial zone; diffusion of jets accompanied by collapse of bubbles and generation of shock wave occurs within liquid volume in plane of shock interaction of jets. EFFECT: improved transformer ratio in pump drive power conversion to heat, increased service life of device. 2 cl, 2 dwg
